Interrogation Blues

Not much is known about the Cobra specialist called the Interrogator (in fact, he may not be a familiar character for some of the more casual GI Joe fans out there). He is a Cobra agent who specializes in extracting valuable information from prisoners. Whether he does so by scientific or unnatural means is unknown, what is sure is his stellar track record for making the toughest of Joe agents squeal.

Interrogator comes with accessories unique to his function in the Cobra Organization. He is armed with a blue pistol which goes well with his overall color scheme. He comes with a pair of handcuffs (see? Interrogation!) and what can only be described as blue nunchuk thingies – will let the pics speak for themselves. Probably his best accessory is the red dagger with a hilted Cobra head at the end. I can already see lots of diorama pics showcasing his use of the red dagger to intimidate helpless Joe victims.

Like him or hate him (or for some people, know absolutely nothing about him), Cobra Interrogator plays a big part in the organization’s shady dealings. Where others see their jobs as chores they have to do, he sees his function as an absolute joy and challenge. No doubt he dreams of the day when Cobra will bring him a high value prisoner to interrogate... maybe a high ranking General or even a silent commando.

TOY ASYLUM’S RATING (OUT OF 5 STARS)

OVERALL DESIGN - 4 OUT OF 5 STARS

- We absolutely love the grey/black/blue color scheme. This is further enhanced by the bright red visor in the helmet. Now THIS is a Cobra operative!

PLAYABILITY - 3.0 OUT OF 5 STARS

- Would have preferred having more interrogation/torture accessories for the figure (jumper cables anyone?).

DURABILITY - 3.5 OUT OF 5 STARS

- Standard modern figure whose plastic material seems to be able to cope with the environment. Only time will tell.

RARITY - 4 OUT OF 5 STARS

- As an FSS subscription figure, this is a bit hard to find – made more difficult because it belongs to an earlier FSS wave. Ebay and GI Joe collectors are probably your best bet at getting this exclusive figure at a good price.

*Not all of the pics are mine so a BIG thanks to the owners (and congratulations for a wonderful collection!).
